![]() If we had a bit more time to grow attached to the character, his untimely demise would have been BOTH shocking and we would have felt legitimate grief. ![]() Like, sure, they killed Ethan for shock value, but it was just that: shock. One of TT's recent games has something like 4-5 very different endings. I will say though that despite most of the previously mentioned main events still occuring, its hard to say what the ending will be. Avoiding these would just require very complex writing and a lot more development time. The main events like Ramsay killing Ethon, Gared going to the Wall, people like Lord Forrester dying, etc are just main events that need to happen. There's several more opportunities for stuff like this in the first episode, such as with how you decide to deal with Cersei, and how Margaery will feel about you afterwards depending on those choices. For example, you can make Ethon either make choices very in line with how his father would have, or he can be much more kind and merciful, this in turn determines how other characters will remember him. The story will be a bit different depending on the choices you make since those more-or-less determine who that character is. You're primarily paying for the story here. Keep playing the season if you already bought it, you might be surprised. Related SubredditsĮh, I've never really been disappointed by one of their games.
